December and January
Save the Date Postcard lands in mailboxes (January)
Volunteer Tasks:
• Hold class committee virtual meetings to:
• Finalize the class letter
• Begin planning the class specific event- who might emcee, make a speech, make a toast or other activities
• Finalize the class promoted event
• “Claim” classmates on class spreadsheets
• Contact friends to encourage them to attend the reunion

February
Registration is open, email sent
Class letters land in mailboxes or email
Emails encouraging alumni to take advantage of the early registration discount sent
Volunteer Tasks:
• Please register for Alumni Weekend. If you encounter any problems or see anything amiss during registration, contact the Alumni Office or your volunteer contact (see below).
• Social media volunteers post to Facebook, Instagram and other social media sites
• Continue to hold monthly virtual committee meetings to track progress and share tips

March and April
Emails encouraging alumni to take advantage of the early discount; including shoulder years
Prices increase after early bird pricing concludes April 1- No foolin’!
Volunteer Tasks:
• Continue to plan class events
• Continue personal outreach via phone, email, social media, and mail, to encourage classmates to register by April 1 and remind them to make a reunion gift

May and June
Letters reminding alumni about making a reunion gift by the end of the fiscal year are mailed
MAY 21, 2026 - On-campus housing deadline. (Or until sold out)
Emails reminding alumni about the final deadline to register for Alumni Weekend go out
JUNE 5, 2026 – deadline to register online for Alumni Weekend (after this, prices increase for walk-in guests)
June 6 and June 10 Confirmation emails go out to alumni who registered
Volunteer Tasks:
•Committees finalize their class events
•Continue personal outreach until deadline to encourage classmates to register
•Attend Alumni Weekend and have a great time, make a final push to meet participation goal

This award honors an alumnus/a, faculty or staff member, or friend of Lewis & Clark for outstanding voluntary service to the college. Originally called the “Alumni Citation”, this award was renamed in 1991 to recognize Don Balmer’s selfless support of the college and to encourage others to follow his example.
